Our Institute is celebrating its anniversary!
We are all part of the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages: graduates, students, teachers, employees. The Institute lives in each of us, because the most interesting times of life are associated with it. Someone remembers the Institute, and someone lives it to this day. The Institute introduced us to the best friends, gave us love for life, saw our abilities and grew our talent.

WITH THESE STORIES OF OUR ALUMNI, WE OPEN THE CHAPTER I and GIIM
My name is Anna Shevkalenko, I am a graduate of GIIM in 2022. First of all, I want to thank all the teachers who tried to bring us knowledge, despite the fact that sometimes we were not very open to them. But I love the other and am grateful to him for everything he gave me. This is not only invaluable knowledge and an incredible example of strong, smart, cool teachers, but also for the small family that I had for 4 years, this is my 104, 204, 304, and finally 404 group. I met my best friend, with whom we have been friends for 6 years. We experienced everything: the most useful pairs with Shkuropat Marina Yuriivna, and fun pairs with Gorlova Olena Volodymyrivna, and scary but such useful phonetics lessons with Gordienko Svitlana Grigorivna, couples' truancy around autumn Bakhmut, and simply living in such a cool environment, when you could approach any person from the institute and start discussing anything, because we are all one big GIIM family.
Now I work in a Ukrainian company as an English teacher, it is very interesting and difficult at the same time. My students tell many cool stories, and sometimes I can even meet them offline! Therefore, studying English gives not only education and work, but also experience, friendship, acquaintances and just a life filled with light and knowledge.
WARM MEMORIES OF INAZ
Dear Institute, happy anniversary!
Our group was experimental. In 1979, everyone who passed the entrance exam in French was gathered into it. There were four medalists. In the first semester of the fifth year, three subjects in French were taken: the entire group (8 people) passed everything with "excellence". After that, a photographer from the newspaper took pictures of our group. Six of us from the group (521) graduated from the institute with "red" diplomas. All of us became teachers. More than a dozen years of teaching experience, many victories and thanks.
Galya Vatsyuta has been teaching French for 40 years (currently at the Ternopil Academic Lyceum "Ukrainian Gymnasium" named after Ivan Franko). She is a methodologist of the highest category. Her students were among the winners of the All-Ukrainian French Language Olympiads.
Sveta Gubina still teaches French at the National University of Ostroh Academy. This is her life's work. She heads the section of French language teachers. In 2000, she won a grant for an internship in Paris. Since 2009, she has been working as part of a team under the Erasmus program with the University of Rennes 2, where she interned. Certificates, diplomas, thanks, like each of us.
Twin brothers Sasha and Yura Lutsenko worked at the Institute for a long time. They became good specialists. They have publications in their specialty.
Valya Fenina has been teaching French for 20 years and is proud of her students.
In my 35 years of teaching experience, I have only one place of work: a secondary school in the village of Velyka Komyshuvakha, Barvinkivskyi district, Kharkiv region. And a great love for life – the French language.
Each of us remembers the teachers with warmth and gratitude: Myagka S. A. (group curator), Polyantseva L. I., Sayenko L. E., Serkutina L. A., Semiryazhko V. M., Vorobyova T. S., Kremenchuk N. S., Mykhailidi N. G. They gave us solid knowledge and good methodology.
We've all been writing and being friends for 40 years! Those were the best years of our lives!
