Our heroes

Our Institute is 75 years old.

He also had such a difficult time when we had to defend our right to life. Thanks to our defenders – people with warm hearts – we have faith in our future. The time will come and we will certainly remember each of our graduates or applicants who are now defending our land. And about those whose familiar gaze we will see only in photographs, who gave their lives for the sake of Ukraine…

Ivan Karagodin

Ivan was born on October 29, 1998 in the city of Popasna. He studied at school No. 21. He was an active person, took an active part in the life of the school. He was a prize-winner in sports and subject Olympiads.

In 2020, he received a bachelor's degree from the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages, majoring in "History. English Language and Literature."

On August 28, 2020, Ivan joined the ranks of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On March 8, 2022, he died in battles for the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region, in a burning tank. His fellow soldiers informed the family that the crew had been fired upon. On April 6, 2022, Ivan Karagodin was buried in the city of Dnipro.

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine of April 13, 2022, he was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree posthumously.

Alexander Sheredekin

Oleksandr was born on December 11, 1999 in Bakhmut. He graduated from Bakhmut Secondary School No. 5. Oleksandr received his bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Social and Language Communication, where he studied since 2017 in the Secondary Education (Language and Literature (English)) educational program. Psychology. In 2021, he received a bachelor's degree and entered the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages, choosing the master's degree program Germanic Studies: Linguistics, Literary Studies, Translation Studies.

But the war forced Oleksandr to change the institute audience to the forefront of defending the Motherland. At the call of his heart from the first days of the war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his native Bakhmut, to protect us. He died on July 28, 2024.
