Scientia difficilis sed fructuosa (Science is difficult but fruitful)

On April 22-23, 2020, the II International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists was held simultaneously on the basis of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages and the Institute of Neophilology of the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. "Ukrainian Studies: New Names in Science", which was attended by 103 young representatives of modern science.

Reports in Ukrainian and Polish on current issues of linguistics, literature, methods of teaching Ukrainian language and literature, as well as the development of culture of academic integrity and the anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka were presented at the plenary session: "Distance learning of Ukrainian as a foreign language for Polish students" - Anna Melnik, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland), research supervisor - PhD, Professor Love Frolyak; "Poetic creativity of Lesya Ukrainka in the musical interpretation of Vasyl Barvinsky" -Alexandra Nimilovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Musicology and Piano Drohobych State Pedagogical University named after Ivan Franko; "Variantity of microtoponyms on the Polish-East Slavic border" - Anna Mikichiuk, Marie Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland), research supervisor - PhD, Professor Felix Chizhevsky); "Exotic themes of creativity as a sign of the idiosyncrasy of Natalia the Queen" - Ulyana Gnatkovich, Kamyanets-Podilsky National University named after Ivan Ogienko, research supervisor - Ph.D. philol. Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmila Pochinok; "Formation of a professional self-concept of the future teacher-linguist as one of the main components of academic integrity" - Natalia Kravtsova, Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages, Supervisor - Ph.D. philol. Sciences, Associate Professor Olga Titova; "Analysis of the poetic works of Taras Shevchenko in 7th grade (based on the textbook LT Kovalenko" - Karina White, Sumy State Pedagogical University named after AS Makarenko, research supervisor - Dr. Philol. Science, Professor Tatiana Betsenko.

The work of the sections was devoted to the following thematic areas: "Current issues of Ukrainian studies in the field of linguistics, literature and cultural studies", "Current issues of lexicology, grammar, stylistics, text linguistics, discourse and discourse analysis", "Ethno- and sociolinguistics". Research in Ukrainian Dialectology and History of Language "," Ukrainian Language and Research in Comparative Linguistics "," Ukrainian Literature in the Context of European Culture "," Modern Technologies for Teaching Native / Foreign Language and Literature "," Ukrainian as a Foreign Language "," Life and Lesya Ukrainka's work in the modern cultural and artistic space "," Academic Integrity: Challenges of the Present ".

Based on the results of the Conference, a collection of abstracts was prepared, all participants will receive electronic certificates.
