On February 22, 2024, at the invitation of the Department of English Philology and Translation, Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages, DVNZ DDPU, Anatoliy Panasovych Zagnitko, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of General and Applied Linguistics and Slavic Philology of Donetsk Vasyl Stus National University, held a lecture "Typology of language semantics: new and innovative approaches". Teachers and students enthusiastically listened to the history of studies on language semantics, typology and varieties of level-linguistic semantics, the latest approaches in the study of semantics (comparison, linguistic typology, comparative semasiology, contrastive linguistics, seminal semasiology).
