Charity auction "Good starts with you!" took place at the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages on the eve of International Charity Day
For the third year in a row, on the eve of the beautiful holiday of St. Nicholas, which again and again gives children and adults faith in New Year's fairy tales and expectations of miracles, the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages held a charity auction "Good starts with you!". All its participants were united by one goal - to bring joy to the children of the Mykolayiv special boarding school № 7. The tradition of the auction dates back to Horlivka. In 2017, it was restored in Bakhmut.
The charity auction began with a small concert: before the auction, the audience enjoyed the performance of the dance duo "Black and White" students Alexandra Babchenko and Elvina Makedonskaya, as well as the song "Burning" by "Lumen" performed by rock band "Elysia" students Valery Gladysh and Vladimir Koshlyakov.
As in previous years, the lots for the auction were prepared by students, teachers and staff of the institute. At the same time, this year the event was joined by new friends - active entrepreneurs of the city, who provided excellent lots of their own products and took an active part in the auction, buying products presented by students.
And the lots were extremely diverse - from Christmas decorations, souvenirs and Christmas trees to delicious and appetizing delicacies, from paintings and decorative arts to New Year's bouquets of fruit, from jars of jam and branded cups to children's books and even haircut certificates!
Many products were made by students and employees of the institute, investing a share of their soul and love. Many thanks to the dispatcher OO Halahol, undergraduate VS Beetles, who traditionally donate their artwork to the auction, as well as colleagues who joined this year. Handmade products were beautiful and sophisticated, no less bright was the presentation of individual lots. Thus, under the guise of "dzhigits", students played episodes from the movie "Caucasian Captive", and then helped the hosts in their demonstration.
The auction was held in an atmosphere of high spirits, it seemed that the whole event passed, as if "in one breath". Thanks to the activity of the auction participants, almost twice as much was collected as last year - 5816 hryvnias! These funds have already been used to purchase sweet gifts and entertaining games for the pupils of the Mykolayiv boarding school, and very soon representatives of the student body will personally present children with gifts from students, teachers and friends of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages.
The charity auction opens an opportunity for each of the participants to become better and brighter on the eve of the New Year, encourages to open hearts for good. It does not require large funds, but only the desire to share love and warmth!
