There are no obstacles for partners and friends to communicate, even in wartime. A new meeting between representatives of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages and the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University took place far from their homes and academic auditoriums - at the next archeological excavations in the Mezhybizh State Historical and Cultural Reserve in Khmelnytsky Region. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the reserve management, in particular V.S. Vetrov, head of the archeology sector. Head of educational archaeological practice of higher education, as last year, Professor Yu.M. Brovender. The peculiarity of this year's expedition is that the excavations are carried out on the territory of the fortress, the first brick buildings of which date back to the fourteenth century. The nature of the finds is significantly different from last year's, because then it was a burial mound of the Bronze Age. It should be noted that this is practically the only student archeological expedition organized by a higher education institution in real conditions in 2022.
Representatives of our institute got acquainted with the Reserve, which was established in 2001 on the basis of the fortress complex in the village of Medzhibizh. In the restored halls there is an exposition that covers topics in history, archeology, ethnography. In 2008, the Holodomor Museum was opened in the carriage building of the castle, created by artist and sculptor Mykola Mazur.
The participants of the meeting discussed the ways of further cooperation of educational institutions, which currently have the sad status of twice displaced persons. However, this does not affect the overall high level of organization of practical training for higher education.
