The non-governmental analytical center "Ukrainian Studies of Strategic Studies" announced the All-Ukrainian essay contest for young people on the topic: "Freedom to the peoples! Freedom to man! - History and prospects of the struggle of the peoples enslaved by Russia" as part of the Bander readings.
The purpose of the Competition is to attract young intellectuals to the study of the history of the liberation struggle of the peoples enslaved by Russia, to reveal the forms of struggle of the peoples against Russian imperialism, individual uprisings or essays about the leaders of the liberation struggle, the experience of restoring independence and military resistance.
The task for the young generation of Ukrainian intellectuals is the formation of a national strategy, the strengthening of the Ukrainian army and Ukraine's acquisition of the status of a world leader.

Young researchers are invited to participate - young military personnel, students of higher educational institutions, master's degrees, postgraduates, young teachers and scientists under 33 years of age.
Contest topics:
• The origins and history of the liberation struggle of peoples enslaved by Russia.
• History of national liberation movements of peoples enslaved by Russia.
• Leaders and figures of liberation movements: role and significance.
• National self-determination, creation of national autonomies and declaration of independence of states in the 20th century.
• Military conflicts and wars as stages of the struggle for independence.
• Autonomous movements of modern Russia, which lead to the collapse of the empire.
• Prospects of the liberation struggle of peoples enslaved by Russia. Possibilities of economic and human development of nations after the collapse of the empire.
• Russian colonialism: its essence and place in history
• Methods and tools of Russian colonial policy.
Essay requirements: up to 15,000 characters (8-15 pages), Times New Roman font, point 14, line spacing 1.5. The language is Ukrainian.
The deadline for submitting works is December 1, 2024.
