On the eve of the institute's 75th anniversary, on October 24, 2024, the VIII scientific and practical online conference "Regionalism in the civilizational dimension: directions and prospects for progress" was held, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats - WARN".
This year, the conference was held in the format of a "round table" and was devoted to the topic "Strategic narratives of Ukraine and Russia during the Russian-Ukrainian war". They became the speakers of the event Serhiy Stukanov - the head of the analytical department of the Content Analysis Center and Artem Zakharchenko – candidate of sciences in social communications, head of the NGO CAT-UA (Communication Analysis Team – Ukraine). In the format of an active dialogue, they identified the strategic narratives of modern war, traced their evolution, particularly in Ukraine, and outlined possible "safeguards" for Russian narratives. Teachers and students took an active part in the discussion, and with their questions and remarks, they proved not only their interest in considering the issues brought up for discussion, but also their awareness of many modern problems. In his speech, Serhiy Rostislavovych also focused on the characteristics of the new project dedicated to the Founding Fathers, who formulated the idea of Ukraine and justified its statehood.
The participants of the "round table" noted the relevance of the proposed topic and expressed their desire to continue meetings of this type in the future.
