Brief information about the speakers:

  • Iryna KUCHMA, Open Access Program Manager of the International Association of Libraries (EIFL-OA) since 2008. Working in collaboration with libraries and library consortia in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe, she advocates for open access to research results, promotes the development and implementation of open science policies and infrastructures, and provides support and training. Ms. Iryna is a member of the boards of the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR), the Global Coalition for Sustainable Open Science Services (SCOSS) and the Network Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD). She is also a member of the Open Access Week Advisory Board. Ms. Iryna is the Co-Chair of the OpenAIRE Standing Committee on Training and Support, and is a member of the DSpace Community Advisory Group and the CODATA Policy and Law Working Group. She worked in the UNESCO Advisory Committee on Open Science as an international expert, as a rapporteur of the Skills and Learning Working Group of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), as well as in the Task Force on Curriculum and Career Path Development of the EOSC Association. Ms. Iryna participated in the development of the National Open Science Plan of Ukraine, and the Methodological Recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science on Scientific Data Management.
  • Gareth Dyke (Gareth Dyke), PhD, Director of Bentham Science Publishing, renowned researcher, author of over 320 peer-reviewed articles (including in Scientific American, Nature, Science, Proceedings of the National Academy, etc.) and books. For over 18 years, he worked as editor-in-chief of the journal Taylor & Francis Historical Biology, one of the leaders in the field of paleontology. He has a PhD in geology and biology from the University of Bristol, worked as a researcher at the Museum of Natural History in New York, taught at University College Dublin (Ireland), the University of Southampton (UK), as well as at universities in Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Kazakhstan and China. He has conducted thousands of online and face-to-face training courses and is accredited by the Higher Education Authorities of the UK and Ireland.
  • Iryna TYKHONKOVA, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Researcher, Information and Analytical Resources and Training Specialist at Clarivate. She worked at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, including as the editor-in-chief of the journal Biopolymers and Cell, has been a Clarivate specialist working with clients in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia since 2016. He conducts training seminars and webinars on publication activity, scientometrics, open access, academic ethics, and the use of databases for searching and correct analysis of science.
  • Olga OLSHEVSKA, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations of Odessa National Technological University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor. Works on improving data representation and processing, digitalization of work and scientific processes taking into account Web 2.0, Library 3.0 and Science 2.0 standards. Under her leadership, more than 15 software products have been developed, in particular for the administration of scientific activities.
  • Yulia GLAVCHEVA, Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, Director of the Scientific and Technical Library of NTU "KhPI". Has many years of practical experience in implementing information technologies in the work of the library. Actively engaged in professional and scientific activities in the field of computer science and information technologies (scientometrics, information technologies in the library, formation of information resources).
  • Tetyana YAROSHENKO, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director for Scientific Work and International Cooperation of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine. Field of scientific interests: scientific communication, open science, open access, open data, research data management, electronic resources management. Co-author of the MOOC "Scientific Communication in the Digital Age". Author of over 100 articles, 2 monographs on the subject.

Vladislav Wanda
