Erasmus Project BURN: Study Visit to the University of Tartu

From March 10 to 14, 2025, a study visit is taking place at the University of Tartu (Estonia) as part of the Erasmus project BURN (Enhancing Psychological Resilience and Well-being in Universities of (Post-)War Ukraine). The project team from GIIM is represented by Assoc. Prof. Borozentseva T.V., Senior Lecturer Stepanova S.S. and Head of the Department of Organization of Student Educational Work Zhurbulyuk K.O.

This visit aims to strengthen psychological support services in Ukrainian higher education institutions through the use of trauma therapy and art therapy techniques.

Key areas:

  • Understanding trauma-informed psychological support
  • Studying best practices of university counseling services
  • Enhancing the professional development of psychologists
  • Strengthening cooperation between counseling centers and academic institutions

Participants will interact with the Counseling Center and the Institute of Psychology of the University of Tartu, gaining valuable knowledge about mental health support, research, and innovative therapeutic approaches. Sessions will cover topics such as historical perspectives on psychological education, cutting-edge research, and the role of digital tools in psychological services.

The study visit is designed to provide hands-on learning, knowledge sharing and skill development, providing participants with tools to enhance psychological resilience in their institutions. All participants will receive certificates upon completion.
