Working on self-esteem with the "Art Therapy Workshop"

On March 19, 2025, a new meeting took place in the “Art Therapy Workshop”, which operates within the framework of the “Warm Wednesday” project from the Department of Psychology and the Center for Psychological Support of the GIIM. And again, students, graduates of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages and teachers of Ukrainian schools, all who decided to devote this evening to psychological relief, self-reflection and work on themselves, met in a friendly circle of participants. Like the previous ones, this meeting was held by Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology N.G. Kosheleva.

The current topic of self-esteem and ways to improve it was chosen for the study. The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with one of the practical tools for working with self-esteem - the art therapy technique "Walk your hero's path" (O. Danilina), which combines the methods of fairy tale therapy and metaphorical associative maps. With the help of this technique, the participants wrote their own motivational story of victory and self-belief, and were able to see the ways to achieve their dreams.

According to the participants, they really liked the work in the class, it was deep, resourceful and motivating, and brought many valuable insights and discoveries. The work of the "Art Therapy Workshop" is still ongoing. We invite everyone to the next meeting on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. We will be glad to see everyone!
