International Wednesday (26.03.2025). Round "THE BLACK MENAGERIE"

International Wednesday (26.03.2025). Round "THE BLACK MENAGERIE"

The organizer of the second meeting within the Black Menagerie Project was the University of London (UCL-London Global University). The metaphor of the “Black Elephant” concealed the global problem of populism in politics. Despite the highly specialized issues, the students of the University of London presented in an accessible form the main characteristics of populism, its varieties; revealed what serves as the ground for the prosperity of this phenomenon; focused on how the problem of racism is used by British politicians to create populist platforms. The project participants were invited to share their thoughts on their understanding of populism, the role of populism in the politics of their countries, how it affects minorities and migrants, and how socio-economic inequality in society feeds populism. Sincere gratitude to all applicants-participants from the leaders, Ph.D. Shlapakov O. S. and Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Sukhovetskaya L. V. See you next Wednesday!
