The last week of March was traditionally held as History Week. It was started by our guest, candidate of art history Z. M. Kosytska, with a lecture on the history and modernity of Ukrainian vytynyanka. Then there were “meetings” of teachers and students on the fields of the Battle of Kosiv in 1389, in laboratories of history teaching methods, in the offices of the Presidents of independent Ukraine, etc.
On the occasion of World Historian Day on March 28, Candidate of Historical Sciences Yu. R. Stukanova shared with students her memories of how the Department of Domestic and Foreign History celebrated Historian Weeks and historical holidays in Bakhmut. The meeting took place at a curatorial hour with first-year students and during the festive (18th this year) meeting of the History Circle.
The students showed sincere interest and expressed a desire to join future events. Despite the distance that currently separates students and teachers, thanks to joint activities and the continuity of traditions, we are forming a strong GIIM family.
