On April 10, representatives of student self-government bodies from all over Ukraine participated in a meeting of the Council for Cooperation with Student Self-Government Bodies of Higher Education Institutions, which operates under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The event aimed to establish an effective dialogue between the Ministry of Education and Science and the student community to discuss current issues in the field of higher education.
During the meeting, a new composition of the Presidium of the Council was elected, which will allow updating approaches to coordinating interaction between student self-government bodies and state institutions.

Particular attention was paid to a number of important topics, including:

mechanisms for student participation in obtaining grants;

the specifics of the implementation of mandatory military training and the procedure for its completion;

legal aspects of the application of Quota-2, which concerns the admission of applicants from temporarily occupied territories;

the issue of financing projects for the restoration and improvement of student dormitories.

Such meetings are an important step towards building a transparent and effective educational policy focused on the needs of students. Student representatives expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for its openness to cooperation and willingness to take into account the opinion of young people when forming state decisions in the field of education.
