The events of the psychological week at the GIIM were opened by the guest lecture “Positive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy as an Effective Tool for a Modern Psychologist” held on 21.04.25. We are very grateful to Lyudmila Serdyuk (Chief Researcher of the P.R. Chamata Laboratory of Personality Psychology of the G.S. Kostyuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Certified Psychotherapist, Master Trainer in the Method of Positive Psychotherapy) for the opportunity to learn about the features of the positive approach in psychotherapy “first-hand”. The modern scientifically proven psychotherapeutic method, recognized at the international level, is finding more and more supporters. The main principles of the approach are a focus on human resources, the development of their abilities through the restoration of the natural vital balance between the spheres of “body”, “activity”, “relationships”, “models of the future”.

The evening webinar on the topic "Traditions of Calm: World Practices Against Anxiety" was interesting, easy, and very resourceful, conducted by our 4th-year student of the "Practical Psychology" educational program, Alisa Fedina.
The participants of our warm psychological space immersed themselves in practices that help reduce anxiety, restore inner balance, and experience physical and mental relaxation. These were techniques from various Eastern cultures: “Forest Bathing” (Shinrin-yoku), “Shiatsu” (Japanese acupressure on the face), “Jin Shin Jitsu” (harmonization of energy through light pressure on fingers and areas on the body). Thank you to Alice for the warm atmosphere and the deep practical part, which reminded us: calmness is a skill that can be developed.
