The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine informs that the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 03.12.2024 No. 1385 “Some Issues of Providing State Aid to Citizens of Ukraine for the Purchase of Books” made it possible to begin the implementation of the program of providing state aid to citizens of Ukraine for the purchase of books (hereinafter referred to as the “eBook” program) at the expense of state budget funds through the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services (Portal Diya).

This program is aimed at making Ukrainian books more accessible, popularizing reading among the younger generation, and developing national book publishing. Currently, according to the eBook program, all Ukrainians who have reached the age of 18 are entitled to financial assistance from the state for the purchase of books in the state language (in paper and/or electronic form, including audio files) within one year from the date of reaching the appropriate age.
