On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, another meeting of the Black Menagerie project participants took place. This meeting was special and unique! This time, two international student teams presented their vision of the “black menagerie”. The work of these teams was led by students of our institute Stas Melnyk and Vira Peftits. The teams also included applicants from the University of Azuay (Ecuador), Masaryk University (Czech Republic), University of Uzhhorod (Ukraine), Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University (Turkey) and Catholic University of Salta (Argentina).
The teams were given similar, but fundamentally different tasks: one of them had to name the most significant NEGATIVE “black animals” for all of humanity in the past, and the other – the most significant POSITIVE “black animals” in the past. In addition, the teams had to propose mechanisms by which humanity could learn to predict the appearance of the “black menagerie” in the future.
Students worked together in teams for a month and gained a great experience and great pleasure from such interaction.
The initiators and curators of this unique format were the teachers of our institute, Ph.D. Shlapakov O. S., Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Sukhovetska L. V.
We sincerely thank all the participants-applicants, and especially the student leaders Vera Peftits and Stas Melnyk! See you next Wednesday!
