GIIM students worthily represented the institute at the competition dedicated to the anniversary of Exupery!
From March 5 to June 1, 2025, our students once again demonstrated their skills at the competition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding writer and humanist Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The competition entitled “Tu deviens responsable pour toujours de ce que tu as apprivoisé” (“You are forever responsible for what you have tamed”) was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Professional Direction of the Odessa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov (Faculty of Russian Federation) with the support of a number of powerful partners: the Odessa Regional Organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation from Romance Languages named after Mykola Zerov of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the Association of French Language Teachers of Ukraine.
This competition aimed not only to popularize the works of Exupéry and to instill in young people a sense of kindness and responsibility, but also to popularize the Ukrainian language through its interaction with the masterpieces of European literature. Another important task was the search for talented performers, readers, and experts in a foreign language.
For the second year in a row, applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the educational program "Language and Literature (French, English)", Angelina Shpakova (421 group), "Language and Literature (English and a second Western European language)" Alina Moiseeva, Anastasia Vasilyuk, Svitlana Lymanska (312B group), Yulia Kozakova (412 A group) of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages and the second (master's) level of higher education - Kateryna Fedchun (542 group) of the educational program "Philology (translation (English; German or French))" of the Faculty of Social and Language Communication worthily represented the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages of the State Higher Educational Institution of the State Pedagogical University of the People's Republic of Ukraine.
Our students impressed the jury with their skill, presenting selected excerpts from the famous work "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in French and Ukrainian.
We sincerely congratulate Anastasia Vasilyuk on her honorable 1st place!
Thank you to all the girls for their dedication, talent, and special love for the French language. Your successes are the pride of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages!
