Yesterday, July 16, 2025, another meeting took place in the format of the psychological initiative "Warm Wednesday", organized with the support of the Center for Psychological Resilience of the GIIM within the framework of the project of the European Union Erasmus+ Program
"Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-War) Ukraine" (BURN).
This time, the topic of the meeting — "7 Love Languages: How to Understand Yourself and Your Partner" — was dedicated to a deep understanding of love through the prism of emotional needs, internal personality structures, and attachment patterns.
The host of the event — Oleg Dolya, a practical psychologist — invited participants to delve into the psychological and emotional nature of love, combining the popular concept of "love languages" with a psychoanalytic approach to the structure of personality: Id – Ego – Superego.
Within 60 minutes, participants:
- explored why love can manifest itself as friendship, care, passion, or sacrifice;
- considered the types of love: eros, storge, ludus, agape, philia, mania, and pragma;
- analyzed their individual “love languages”;
- discussed how the idea of "love" is formed in childhood and how old scenarios affect adult relationships;
- pondered how our instincts (Id), inner critic (Superego), and conscious choice (Ego) interact in the process of love.
The presenter emphasized:
"Love is not magic. It is a meeting of bodies, minds, and unconscious experience."
The meeting took place in a warm, trusting atmosphere, where everyone could share their experiences, thoughts, and inner discoveries. Participants noted that the discussion touched not only on relationships with partners, but also on deeper topics - self-worth, boundaries, and emotional maturity.
Participant feedback:
"It was a conversation not only about love, but also about the freedom to be yourself."
"Warm, deep, human. Thank you for the opportunity to recognize my inner voices."
We sincerely thank everyone who was with us this evening. We continue to create a space of trust, acceptance, and psychological growth. The next "Warm Wednesday" is coming soon. Stay tuned for announcements!
