Today, the first event of Psychology Week took place at GIIM - a cozy webinar "Sum under the Blanket. Psychology of Autumn", organized by the Center for Psychological Resilience of GIIM within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 BURN project - "Strengthening Psychological Resilience and Well-being of the University Community in the (Post)War Ukrainian State" (BURN - ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE), funded by the European Union.
Thank you to everyone who joined our online meeting with a blanket and a cup of tea.
Together, we explored why autumn affects mood, how a lack of sunlight changes serotonin levels, and how to distinguish ordinary melancholy from seasonal affective disorder.
Participants shared their own ways to stay warm inside—from a scented candle and favorite music to walks with friends or evenings alone. We reminded ourselves that fall is a time for resetting, peace, and self-care.
Let's remember: sometimes a soft blanket, a warm drink, and permission to just be are enough.
Take care of your inner fire — and let every day be a little warmer.
