The first stage of the 16th International Language and Literary Competition of School and Student Youth named after Taras Shevchenko took place at the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages!

The Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages held Stage I (at the level of an educational institution) XVI Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition for School and Student YouthThis annual event unites young people around the creative heritage of the Kobzar, promotes the development of language culture and fosters love for the native language.

The following words of welcome were addressed to the participants of the competition:

  • Olena Ivanovska, Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language,
  • Mykola Zhulynsky, Director of the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,
  • Acting Rector of the Chernihiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after K.D. Ushynsky.

During the opening of the competition, it was emphasized that language is not only a means of communication, but also the basis of national identity, the spiritual code of the Ukrainian people. It is the voice of history, the melody of our land.

Students of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages actively participated in the competition, demonstrating their love for the Ukrainian word and the desire to reveal their talent through creativity.
