October 24 — United Nations Day

80th anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter
Today, the world community celebrates United Nations Day, dedicated to the entry into force of its Charter on October 24, 1945.
For 80 years, the UN has remained a unique platform for dialogue, consistently working to:

  • Strengthening peace and security: Helping countries overcome armed conflict.
  • Protecting human rights and justice: Documenting violations and promoting reforms in over 90 countries.
  • Social development: Fighting poverty, hunger and disease (vaccination, reducing mortality).
The UN consistently supports countries in developing their economic and social potential by setting standards for sustainable development.
On this occasion, the UN Secretary-General addresses the world community with an unwavering appeal: "Let's build our future together!"
May our joint work to "build a future together" lead to the successful implementation of the UN's key mission - ensuring peace and security.
