On October 29, 2025 at 6:00 PM, a warm and at the same time profound meeting took place on the topic "Women's Boundaries: How to Say "No"?", which was conducted Elena Selivanova, a 6th year student of the master's level in the specialty C4 Psychology, GIIM.
The meeting was organized by Center for Psychological Resilience GIIM with the support of the project Erasmus+ KA2 BURN, which is aimed at developing the psychological resilience and well-being of the university community.
During the meeting, the participants explored the topic of personal boundaries — both physical and emotional or professional. Olena explained why it is sometimes difficult for us to say “no” — due to the desire to be liked, fear of conflict, or feelings of guilt. Together, the participants looked for ways to learn how to defend their boundaries without aggression and guilt.
The practical part included exercise "My phrases", where everyone could formulate their own statements that help maintain inner balance and self-respect. The conclusion was art therapy exercise "Space yourself" – creating a symbolic circle of her own boundaries, in which each participant reflected what supports her and what exhausts her.
The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere of mutual support. The main idea that was expressed that evening:
- "Your 'no' is part of taking care of yourself. Taking care of yourself is not selfishness, it's maturity."
Participants shared that after the meeting they felt more clarity, inner confidence, and motivation to be honest with themselves in their relationships with others.
