On November 12, "Warm Wednesday" took place - "Self-help first aid kit: creating a quick emotional support kit"

On November 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM, “Warm Wednesday” took place - a meeting that brought together everyone interested in psychology and their own emotional well-being. This time, the topic sounded extremely practical and at the same time profound: “Self-help first aid kit: creating a quick emotional support kit.”

The meeting was hosted by Olga Logvys, a practical psychologist, PhD in psychology, head of the Center for Psychological Resilience and Well-being of the TNPU, consultant of the mental health program "How are you?", member of the NGO "Association of Higher School Psychologists of Ukraine".

During the meeting, participants explored how everyone can create their own emotional first aid kit that helps to quickly restore inner balance in stressful situations. Olga explained that such a “first aid kit” can contain not only practical techniques, but also symbolic resources – music, photos, phrases of support, objects that remind them of safety.

Together, they examined the components of psychological self-help – awareness of the state, acceptance of emotions, techniques for calming the body, contact with loved ones, and recovery through the senses and self-care. Participants created their own support kits, shared experiences, and discovered that even simple things can be a powerful resource: a cup of tea, the aroma of essential oil, a short walk, or the phrase “I can do it.”

Olga also shared the online resource of the program "How are you?" (howareu.com/self-help), where you can find proven tools for self-support. The atmosphere of the meeting was very warm, trusting, filled with gratitude and mutual support.

The meeting was organized by the Center for Psychological Resilience of the GIIM with the support of the Erasmus+ KA2 BURN project - "Strengthening Psychological Resilience and Well-being of the University Community in the (Post)War Ukrainian State", funded by the European Union.
