Topic: "The Body as a Source of Resource: From Shame to Pleasure"

🤝 On February 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM, a meeting was held as part of the "Warm Wednesdays" project.

👩 Host: Karina Ragimova — 3rd year bachelor's degree student, Psychology major, GIIM.

✨ The meeting was dedicated to exploring corporeality as a resource and rethinking the attitude towards one's own body - from the experience of shame to the possibility of acceptance and pleasure.
The goal of the work was to increase body awareness, develop a careful contact with oneself, and reduce internal criticism related to the body.

💫 During the meeting, participants:
👌 talked about how body shame is formed and what social and personal factors influence it;
👌 explored their own experience of interacting with the body through reflective questions;
👌 performed exercises for body awareness and focusing attention on the sensations of the "here and now";
👌 learned to notice signals of fatigue, tension and pleasure;
👌 formed new supportive formulations about their bodies and the right to bodily comfort.

🌱 The atmosphere of the meeting was trusting and supportive. Participants had the opportunity to gently touch on a sensitive topic, feel a safe space for openness, and take the first steps towards a more accepting and resourceful contact with their bodies.

The meeting was a reminder that the body is not an object of evaluation, but a living source of support, sensations, and inner strength.
