Psychology Week was held at the Center for Psychological Resilience of the GIIM

From 04/20 to 04/24/2026, the Center for Psychological Resilience of the Institute of Psychology hosted Psychology Week, which brought together a series of thematic meetings aimed at deepening the understanding of the human psyche, the professional development of future psychologists, and increasing the psychological awareness of participants 🧠

During the week, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with various approaches and aspects of psychological practice - from deep knowledge of the unconscious to the realities of the professional activities of a psychologist and working with traumatic experiences.

In particular:
✨ considered the ASPP method as a tool for researching the unconscious through images, symbols, and psychographics
✨ got acquainted with the Gestalt approach and the importance of living the experience, not just analyzing it
✨ discussed the reality of the profession of a psychologist — challenges, losses, resources and self-support strategies and got acquainted with positive psychotherapy
✨ explored the professional and emotional aspects of a psychologist's work, including fears of starting practice and ethical boundaries
✨ Through the format of a psychological cinema, we analyzed the topic of traumatic experience, its formation and ways of overcoming it

During the events, participants were actively involved in the work: they asked questions, shared their own experiences, participated in practical exercises and discussions. This contributed to a deeper understanding of the topics and the formation of reflection and professional thinking skills.

All meetings were held in an open, trusting atmosphere with a high level of engagement and interest of participants 💬

Psychology Week has become an important platform for knowledge exchange, professional growth, and support for the university community in the face of modern challenges 💛

The events are organized by the Center for Psychological Resilience of the GIIM with the support of the Erasmus+ KA2 BURN project –
"Strengthening the Psychological Resilience and Well-being of the University Community in the (Post)War Ukrainian State" (BURN – ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE), funded by the European Union.
