Years separate us from what seems to be a relatively calm, eventful time in the city of Bakhmut. We all often think back to those times – the ten-year period of building our institute in Bakhmut, which is now our home for many. And those memories warm…

Recently, the "Inyazivtsi" in Dnipro had the opportunity to experience pleasant emotions associated with the Bakhmut period in the history of the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages.

On May 6, 2026, the Educational and Scientific Institute "Gorlivka Institute of Foreign Languages" of the State Higher Educational Institution "Donbass State Pedagogical University" was visited by servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to hand over books belonging to the library fund of the institute. These books were taken out of the city of Bakhmut during the battles for the city back in 2023, and today they found us. Huge gratitude to the military, who all these years took care of the invaluable "cargo" for us and provided us with both the opportunity to use these books and an occasion for communication.

The key topic of communication between the servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the community of our institute was the indisputable importance of forming in the youth a national-patriotic consciousness, high morality and civic resilience, a sense of national dignity and love for the native land. The participants of this important event for us were acquainted with the key milestones in the history of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people.

The participants of the meeting from our team are unshakable in their belief that our SOLDIERS are tirelessly fighting on all "fronts": they are leading a victorious struggle on the battlefields and helping us, teachers, to maintain the "educational front", where in the field of view are the approaches, updated by racist aggression, to the awareness by participants of the educational process of the Non-Profit Educational Institution "Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages" State Higher Educational Institution of the State Pedagogical University of the principles of national resistance and the vision of each person's place in the Ukrainian system of comprehensive defense.
