For 23 consecutive years, the Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Postgraduate Students has remained a landmark event for the educational and scientific community of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages. This year's program included five sections dedicated to psychological topics.
At the conference sectional meetings on May 14, 2026, a wide range of topical issues were considered: mechanisms of personal resilience in the face of modern challenges; destructive manifestations and addictive behavior; factors of social adaptation; determinants of emotional-volitional and personal development; psychotechnologies of emotional stabilization and correction; psychology of educational motivation.
For many applicants, participation in the conference was the first experience of presenting the results of their own scientific research. We note the sincere interest of the speakers in the selected topics and their readiness for in-depth analysis. Among the presented studies are the formation of purposefulness as a trait that provides motivation for achievement; the development of tolerance in the relationships of adolescents; the features of women's self-esteem during the transition beyond the age limit of 40–45 years; the use of a trauma-oriented approach in the educational process in wartime.
All the presented topics are aimed at improving the mental well-being of the individual and the community, which acquires special practical significance in wartime conditions. It is pleasant to note that the Center for Mental Resilience, whose activities are being strengthened thanks to the Erasmus+ project BURN with the support of the EU, is gradually turning into an experimental platform for practical testing of the scientific achievements of our applicants.
The successful performances of the applicants at the scientific conference indicate their high motivation for learning, satisfaction with the first results of their scientific activities, and the formation of new professional horizons in the field of practical psychology.
