The conference guests were given a historical background to the work of the scientific event: the conference of young scientists was born in 2003 in Horlivka, at the Horlivka State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. Since 2015, the work has continued in Bakhmut, where the institute was relocated, and since 2022 - in Dnipro due to the second relocation of the institute at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In 2023, at the 20th anniversary conference, the organizing committee decided to dedicate the conference to the heroic graduates and applicants who defended Ukraine from the enemy and fell on the fields of the great battle. The names of the fallen are now in the Pantheon of Heroes of the institute: Roman Yusubov, Ivan Karagodin, Oleksandr Sheredekin, Leonid Mendryk.

The conference participants were greeted by the director of the institute, Doctor of Philology, Professor T.M. Marchenko. In a warm atmosphere, thanks were expressed for their active participation in the development of student science to the winners Artem Pavlyuk, Angelina Beliy, Vladyslav Khmelyk, Natalia Martynyuk, and the winners of the regional stages of the 25th International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk, the 25th International Language and Literature Competition named after Taras Shevchenko, Iryna Denysenko and Anastasia Kostrykova. The contestants addressed the participants of the plenary session with video greetings and noted the important role of teachers-mentors in their achievements.

Psychology”. The author of the report acted not only as a researcher, but also as a direct witness of the events. She turned her own memories into a valuable historical source, and demonstrated how personal history is woven into the general context of major historical events.

After the plenary session, the work continued in the thematic sections of the conference. The topics of the problems stated by the participants of the scientific meeting were reflected in 17 sections. Modern approaches to the theory and practice of translation, discursive strategies and linguistic features of modern communication, current problems of literature in the perspective of modern research strategies, pressing issues of history and civic education, problems of psychological well-being, mechanisms of individual resilience in the conditions of modern challenges, and new approaches in education in the conditions of its globalization and digitalization were considered.
