The busy days of the visit of the Erasmus+ BURN project team from the DSU to the Volodymyr Hnatyuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University have begun.
The first day of the international conference "Trauma-Informed Approaches to Mental Health Support and Resilience Building in Times of Societal Crises" took place on September 28, 2026. The hybrid format (online and offline) brought together over 500 participants!
Warm words of greeting from the rector of TNPU, Bohdan Buyak, and the coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Svitlana Shytikova, set a productive and lively tone for the communication.
Iryna Zadorozhna, coordinator of the Erasmus+ CBHE BURN project, spoke about the achievements, impact, and future prospects of the project.
The keynote speaker on the first day of the conference was Lutz Wittmann, Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the International Psychoanalytic University in Berlin (Germany). His lecture on the phenomenon of countertransference in the context of post-traumatic stress, as well as his own experience of many years of therapeutic and supervisory work, aroused lively interest from the audience and many questions. We are sincerely grateful to Mr. Lutz for his frank and insightful answers.
The first day of the conference was extremely eventful. Interesting presentations, materials from modern psychological research on the consequences of trauma, expert discussions, and practical master classes became an invaluable experience of knowledge exchange between specialists from Ukraine and European countries.
