On October 6, as part of Psychology Week, a practical workshop "Finding Strength: Art Therapy for Post-Traumatic Recovery" was held.
Joined the meeting 83 participants — students, teachers, and everyone who is interested in the topic of psychological recovery.
Speakerphone Natalia Kosheleva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology, spoke about how traumatic experiences can affect our self-perception, emotional state, sense of control, self-esteem, and interactions with others.
But the main thing in the meeting was not only to talk about difficult things, but also to work with him through creativity.
Participants performed art therapy exercises, including exploring their own experiences using the technique. "My Story: Before and After", and also worked with technology "The colorful flower of my superpower" — determined what helps overcome difficult situations, what resources are already within, and who or what can be relied on.
Through images, colors, and symbols, participants were able to look at their own experiences a little differently — to notice not only what has been lost or changed, but also one's own strengths, resources, and opportunities for recovery.
💚 Thank you to Natalia Kosheleva for a meaningful and practical meeting, and to all 83 participants for their activity, openness, and willingness to explore themselves.
Psychology Week continues. New meetings, topics, and opportunities to get closer to yourself are ahead. 🌿
