On December 1, 2022, on the basis of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages, the regional stage of the XIII Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for pupils and students took place. 26 representatives of Bakhmut, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Kostyantynivka, Mariupol, Pokrovsk and Selidovo took part in the philological competition, once again proving that the work of the Great Kobzar is always timely, and his fiery Word will defend and support our Motherland for more than one decade.

The competition, launched more than 10 years ago, gives young people the opportunity to reveal their creative potential, show their knowledge of the literary heritage of T. G. Shevchenko and mastery of the Ukrainian artistic word. Unfortunately, at the regional level, students are meeting remotely for the third time, but this year the conditions of the meeting have reached a new level of complexity. However, neither air alarms, nor problems with electricity supply and Internet connection hindered the work. We thank the young Shevchenko experts and wish them success.
