May Day is a traditional labor holiday in Ukraine. And this year it is taking place during martial law, when Ukrainians are defending their country, independence, values, and families.
The words "peace" and "work" have acquired a different meaning today - it is about a free life and the opportunity to work in one's country on one's land.
Traditionally, for the entire trade union family, May Day is primarily about solidarity, support and rights of working people. Labor Day is celebrated by trade unions in 135 countries of the world. On this day, they demonstrate unity, solidarity and the ability to protect their socio-economic and labor rights, the desire to live in a peaceful, democratic society where human rights are respected and observed.
This year is a day of true unity and solidarity in all spheres of life and activity of Ukrainians for the important goal of Victory and peaceful life under the clear skies of their Motherland!
