On May 16, 2024, on the eve of Science Day, the 21st Interregional scientific and practical conference of young scientists and postgraduate students "Research of young scientists in the field of humanities" was held in Ukraine. The work of the conference was attended by young scientists, graduate students, students of higher education who summed up their scientific research.
Last year, during the 20th anniversary conference, a decision was made to commemorate the graduates of the institute who died fighting for Ukraine. The organizing committee of the conference started the tradition and dedicated separate sections of its Program to the memory of the heroes-graduates - Ivan Karagodin and Roman Yusubov.
The conference program consisted of about 150 reports in the field of philology, history and philosophy, psychological and pedagogical science. Their lively discussions were heard at the plenary and sectional meetings of the conference. Competently prepared and delivered presentations were accompanied by interesting and meaningful thematic text.

Doctor of philosophy, associate professor of the department of Germanic and Slavic philology of the Donbas State Pedagogical University Olena Garmash spoke at the plenary session; graduate student of the department of domestic and foreign history Arseniy Sitnikov (supervisor - professor V.M. Dokashenko); young teacher of the Department of World Literature Inna Yurchenko (supervisor - Professor S.A. Komarov); Bachelor's degree holder of higher education Anastasia Teslyuk (scientific supervisor - Associate Professor N.P. Pozhidayeva), Master's degree holder of higher education Artem Mineev (scientific supervisor - Professor H.P. Dokashenko).
Thanks from the institute were awarded to Alla Bardina, a student of the 4th year of the bachelor's level of higher education at the Faculty of Social and Language Communication, for winning the "Best Student of the Year" competition among institutions of higher and professional higher education of the Bakhmut City United Territorial Community in the nomination "Best Student Scientist of the Year", as well as its academic supervisor, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Domestic and Foreign History Yu.R. Stukanova. Viktoriya Hrychikova, a 3rd-year bachelor of higher education student at the Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication, was also thanked for her victory (1st place) in the regional stage of the 24th Pyotr Yatsyk International Ukrainian Language Competition in the 2023-2024 academic year, and her supervisors, Ph.D. associate professor, head of the department of Ukrainian philology T.M. Radionova and candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of the department of Ukrainian philology O.B. Titova.
This year, the work of young scientists was timed to the 75th anniversary of the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages. Therefore, at the plenary session there were also congratulations on the glorious anniversary of the institute.

As noted by the Council of Young Scientists, headed by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor D.V. Yefimov, the activity of scientists is a symbol of spiritual freedom and personal development. It is emphasized that in the modern world, despite all the difficulties, it is the intellectual resource that acts as the main driver of the development of society.
