At the end of 2020, the Ministers responsible for higher education in the countries of the European Higher Education Area adopted the Rome Communiqué (for reference - translation of the Rome Communiqué - https://bit.ly/3wfy8wh ), which emphasizes the key role of higher education in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The Rome Communiqué focuses on supporting and developing the capacity of higher education institutions (HEIs) to prepare all their students, regardless of their field of study and educational program, for “green” jobs (jobs that contribute to the preservation or restoration of the environment) and work to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals.
