February 20 GIIM students and faculty were able to attend a presentation by Inna Barysh, a representative of the Ukrainian office of the Fulbright Program. The Fulbright Program is one of the most prestigious international scientific and academic exchange programs supported by the US Government to strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries by promoting exchanges of scholars and researchers.
Students and faculty were introduced to the opportunities offered by the Program and discussed the terms of participation in competitions for Fulbright scholarships for teaching, internships and research at US universities.
The meeting with the students was attended by American fellows of the Program Philip Kopac and Kathleen Blell. Philip Kopac holds a bachelor's degree in history and philosophy from Walsh University in Ohio, USA. Now Philip helps to teach English at the Department of History of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University. V.N. Karazina. Kathleen holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and English from Villanova University, PA, and has participated in three international programs in the Czech Republic, China and Italy. She currently assists in teaching English at Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko.
After the presentations of the guests there was a casual conversation, during which the guests sincerely answered the questions of our students and exchanged contacts.
