On April 24, within the framework of the week of the English language, the recitation of poetic works in English "The poetry of Earth is never dead" was held, which was prepared by students of the Faculty of Social and Linguistic Communication under the leadership of the Department of English Philology and Translation.

The guests of the meeting learned a lot of interesting facts about the life and work of outstanding English poets - W. Shakespeare, J. Byron, W. Wordsworth, R. Southey, S. Coleridge, and listened with pleasure to the insightful recitation of the artists' poems by the participants of the event.

The creation of a festive atmosphere was facilitated by musical and video accompaniment, a touching video clip from the film based on the tragedy of U. Shakespeare "Romeo and Juliet". At the end, all present together sang the song "My Heart's in the Highlands" to the words of the outstanding Scottish poet R. Burns.
