On the International Day of Mental Health, October 10, 2024, teachers and students of GIIIM attended a joint event of the Ukrainian partners of the BURN project, which was initiated by the participants of the study visit to the University of Latvia.
The purpose of the event is to emphasize the need to maintain mental health, to teach ways to support it and to explain the need to pay special attention to the psychological conditions of all participants in the educational process - both students and teachers - in the special conditions of today's Ukraine. The event was held on the basis of the Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after V. Hnatyuk, other partners joined online. The guests were greeted by the coordinator of the BURN project from TNPU Iryna Zadorozhna. She spoke about the purpose and tasks of the BURN project, new courses that will be implemented at all levels of education and the equipment of psychological support centers on the basis of universities. These centers will significantly expand the possibilities of preserving the mental health of students and teachers.
Project manager from GIIIM Assoc. Tetyana Borozentseva also gave a welcome speech, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to cooperate in a team of professionals on the implementation of the project's tasks, and suggested that the participating universities organize internal mobility of students of the second (master's) level of education - to give them the opportunity to attend disciplines of their free choice at partner universities. This initiative was welcomed by representatives of partner universities.
