On October 16, 2024, the second international meeting of universities took place under the auspices of the Catholic University of Salta (Universidad Católica de Salta). The presentation of this university was built around the role of tourism for the development of local communities. Tourism is considered as a tool for spreading culture, language and education. According to the university team, the tourism experience enables local communities to share their traditions, customs and languages of indigenous peoples, and promotes rich cultural exchange. Students discussed the potential of tourism to strengthen the cultural and linguistic heritage of communities, promote mutual learning, and support the development of educational programs that value local identity while contributing to economic growth and sustainable development of rural communities. Students from other universities talked about the peculiarities of tourism in their local communities. Thank you to all our participants for being active in discussions! We are waiting for the next meeting.
