East Slavic philology: from Nestor to the present

On November 21, 2024, the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "East Slavic Philology: from Nestor to the Present" was held at the Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages. The co-organizers of the event were Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University and Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic).

The conference was held online. The moderators of the forum were K. philol. Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology Sklyar I. AT. and d. philol. n., professor, head of the Department of World Literature Komarov S. AND.

About 70 experienced and young scientists from universities in different cities of Ukraine took part in the plenary and sectional sessions of the conference: Kyiv and Kharkiv, Lviv and Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Slovyansk, Mykolaiv and Uman. There were also guests from Poland among the participants of the forum.

Lively discussion at the plenary session was caused by the reports of Dr. history n., Professor Dokashenko G. P. and d. history n., professor Dokashenka V. M. (Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages of the Donbas State Pedagogical University) "Alternative history in literature: what's next?!"; d. philol. n., Professor Gurko O. IN. (Dnipro National University named after Oles Honchar) "Explicators of agreement in English-language dialogic discourse"; d. philol. n., professor Marchenko T. M. (Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages of the Donbas State Pedagogical University) "Artistic text as a source of imagological ideas", k. philol. Ph.D., Associate Professor Shkuropat M. Yu. (Horliv Institute of Foreign Languages of the Donbas State Pedagogical University) "Digital competences in education in the light of the European framework of digital competence for educators".

The work was carried out in 6 sections in the following scientific directions:

1. Dialogue of cultures in fiction: Slavia and abroad.

2. Text linguistics and text linguistics: stylistics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics.

3. Modern analytical strategies of artistic text: Ukrainian and foreign literature

4. Innovations in the structures of East Slavic languages.

5. Actual problems of onomasiology.

6. The latest concepts of teaching methods of native and foreign languages and literatures.

The organizing committee is grateful to the scientists for their sincere interest in the issues of the conference and their active participation in it, and hopes for further cooperation.
