As part of an educational project Erasmus+ DigiFLEd, aimed at modernizing university educational programs in foreign languages through the integration of information technologies, the GIIM team, together with teachers and students of our institute, had an incredible opportunity to take part in an interesting and useful educational webinar. The event was organized by partner colleagues from Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University and was dedicated to the topical topic «Modern information technologies in teaching foreign languages». The webinar speaker was Natalia Shcherba, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Foreign Language Education at the Ivan Franko ZhDU.

Participants were introduced to modern educational platforms and tools: EnglishTag, Magoosh, Luvvoice, CEFR LEVELS, Vocapp… Particular attention was paid to the use of information technology to effectively test the level of language proficiency in various aspects, as well as to develop key skills in grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, listening, and writing.

Participation in such a webinar is a valuable experience for our teachers and students. It allows them to stay up to date with the latest trends in foreign language teaching, exchange ideas with colleagues from other universities, and use new teaching methods.
