2️⃣0️⃣ March, the world celebrates the International Day of Happiness

🔹The Center for Psychological Resilience "InCity" of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages (Dnipro city) prepared and held an online meeting for students in grades 5-11 of various schools in Ukraine. The meeting was moderated by Kateryna Zhurbilyuk, a psychologist at the GIIM.

🔹We talked about the word "happiness" itself: how it sounds in different languages, and how it is understood in countries around the world. We figured out how our body reacts to happiness, played an interesting game about hormones: dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins. We discovered that it is impossible to be happy all the time and figured out the reasons.

🔹Meeting participants shared what makes them happy, and from this they created a common map of happiness. They played the game "Happy moments of life", which showed how to notice these moments. They got acquainted with the practice "Diary of happy moments".

🔹An equally interesting question for discussion was: how to give happiness to others. The participants shared their methods and experiences. They agreed that together we would multiply happiness and share it with loved ones.

🔹Students and school administration took an active part in the event and noted that they became happier after the meeting, received a boost of positivity, and smiled a lot.

📍From the meeting participants' chat:
🥰Happiness is something we can give infinitely, even through the smallest actions.
🥰From this meeting I realized that happiness depends on our perception and moments in life. It may be temporary, but it is important to appreciate simple joys, such as time with loved ones and support.
🥰Thank you for the opportunity to learn to be happy and share this happiness with others!
