Educators in the pursuit of digital modernization

On April 29, 2025, an extremely useful and informative online webinar "Digital Technologies in the Educational Activities of a Philologist: Practical Experience" was held. The event, held as part of the Erasmus+ DigiFLEd educational project, brought together educators and students from all over Ukraine, graduates of the GIIM, and project partners.

The event was addressed by Iryna Sklyar, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Associate Professor of the Department of World Literature. Her deep knowledge and practical experience in the field of using digital tools in education aroused lively interest among numerous participants.

During the webinar, Ms. Iryna introduced the audience to current domestic and foreign classifications of digital tools that can significantly enrich and diversify the process of teaching academic disciplines. Particular attention was paid to the practical application of specific online services.

Webinar participants gained valuable practical skills in working with such popular and effective tools as: Padlet TA, Genially, Napkin AI.

  • Genially is an online platform that opens up endless possibilities for creating interactive educational content, including easy-to-develop vibrant presentations with animation and clickable elements, engaging infographics, interesting quizzes, tests, and creative escape-room tasks. Genially combines ease of use, visual appeal, and extensive functionality without the need for programming.
  • Padlet TA – an innovative teaching assistant that uses artificial intelligence to create educational content. Tools Padlet TA helping teachers focus more on teaching and spend less time preparing routine tasks. Padlet TA has the potential to make teachers more efficient and significantly speed up the process of creating personalized content for learners.
  • For a quick and effective exchange of ideas, participants were introduced to the possibilities Napkin AI, a tool that helps transform textual information into clear visual elements.

Feedback from numerous participants indicates the high practical value of the information received, and also emphasizes the high professionalism of the speaker and the relevance of the issues discussed.

The webinar was another important step in the implementation of the Erasmus+ DigiFLEd project. The event highlighted the importance of using modern digital tools to increase student engagement and the quality of learning at all levels.
