Visit of researchers from the University of Leipzig

On June 23, a delegation of researchers from Germany, led by Stefan Troibst, Professor of the Department of Eastern European Cultural History at the Institute of Global and European Studies at the University of Leipzig and Deputy Director of the Leibniz Institute for Eastern European and Cultural Studies, visited GIIM. The visitors included ten doctors and graduate students in various fields - history, political science, sociology, geography and international relations, united by a common goal - to study conflicts in the post-Soviet space during a study trip to Ukraine on "Conflict between Russia and Ukraine: Donetsk region, the Sea of Azov and Odesa ". The main interest of the researchers was to study the experience of teachers in relocated freelance education, personal impressions of our colleagues.
Representatives of the departments of German philology, English philology and translation, Ukrainian philology, as well as foreign and domestic history held an active discussion, focusing on higher education, socio-political life and interpersonal relations in the time frame from the beginning of the conflict to the present day.
