In February 2025, working groups of psychology teachers from five Ukrainian universities, participants in the Erasmus+ BURN project "Strengthening Psychological Resilience and Well-being of Universities in (Post-)War Ukraine", practically completed the development of new training courses "Crisis online counseling" (bachelor's level), "Mindfulness-oriented art therapy of trauma" (taught in English, master's level) and the training module "Working with refugees and war survivors" (for PhD program, taught in English).
Participants of the BURN project team from the GIIM were involved in the creation of new syllabi and work programs: S. Stepanova, T. Borozentseva, O. Hrytsuk, D. Drozdova, M. Shkuropat, and O. Reznikova.
Over the next three months, the developed course materials were analyzed by European project partners from Estonia, Latvia, and Germany; they underwent adjustments, internal and external review by scientists and teachers from higher education institutions in Ukraine and other countries that are not participants in the BURN project.
The positive reviews received indicate the high quality of the created educational product.
It is worth noting that the pilot testing of the course "Mindfulness-Based Art Therapy with Trauma" at GIIM is already underway in the second semester of the 2024–2025 academic year in the master's level study groups (504 and 505). The course "Crisis Online Counseling" will be introduced for the first time next academic year for second-year students of the OPP "Practical Psychology".
