In preparation for the 70th anniversary of the institute, as part of a historical and cultural expedition to Kyiv region, its participants visited the city of Bila Tserkva, where our history began. It was here from 1949 to 1954 that the Teachers' Institute of Foreign Languages was located. Today Bila Tserkva is one of the largest cities in the capital region with an interesting centuries-old history and a promising future. For a long time, the city was the residence of the Branicki family, the Winter and Summer Palaces, which are the architectural decoration of the city. The city's population has always been multinational, multi-religious and very tolerant. The Orthodox Transfiguration Cathedral is located on one site and the Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist is opposite. The city leaves very positive emotions, it is nice that the history of the institute began with him.

Nice, but still there was no Central Committee, the Sorbonne, the Bastille, Solovki…
