On September 15, 2025, at the invitation of colleagues from Zaporizhia National University, students and teachers of the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages of the State Higher Educational Institution of the State University of Translation and Interpretation of Ukraine took part in two online lectures dedicated to modern aspects of translation activity. Interesting, meaningful, and exciting lectures were given by Kateryna Oleksandrivna Lozovska, a teacher and translator with experience in technical and administrative fields. The first lecture – “Error 404: ideal translation not found” – was aimed mainly at junior students, but became an inspiration for all those present. The speaker shared her own stories of professional development, talked about the first difficulties in translation, and advised how to overcome the fears of a beginner. Special attention was paid to the fact that mistakes are not defeats, but useful experience that forms professionalism. The second lecture - "FOP without panic: how to start your own business and not get lost in the papers" - was of particular interest to senior students who are preparing for independent professional activity; participants received practical advice on opening a FOP, choosing its group, keeping reports and features of taxation. The lectures contributed to the professional development of education seekers and strengthening partnership and friendly ties between the Horlivka Institute of Foreign Languages and Zaporizhia National University.
