On October 10, World Mental Health Day, an open online meeting was held dedicated to the creation and development of Centers for Psychological Resilience and Well-being at Ukrainian universities - partners of the international project of the EU Erasmus+ Program "BURN" ("Strengthening Psychological Resilience and Well-being of Universities in a (Post)War Country"). During the meeting, the coordinators of the centers shared their own experience of opening such centers, talked about their activities, current achievements, as well as the challenges they face in the process of implementing initiatives.
The event became a platform for professional exchange between representatives of universities that have already implemented or are working on launching Psychological Resilience Centers. Participants discussed the main areas of activity of the centers, development strategies, as well as prospects for further cooperation between higher education institutions within the framework of the BURN project.
Special attention was paid to the issue of forming a culture of mental well-being in university communities, involving students in the centers' initiatives, developing self-help practices, and creating a safe space for supporting teachers and students. As a result of the meeting, the participants agreed to continue the partnership, spread successful practices of psychological support, and strengthen the mental health system in Ukrainian universities as an integral part of sustainable educational development in the context of war and post-war recovery.
