Lviv European is a competition of translators, which gives an opportunity to show your talent, learn about innovative technologies and realities of the translation industry. In 2020, for the first time, the competition was held for applicants for higher education. To participate in the competition, it was necessary to perform translation tasks remotely. The final of the competition took place on February 22. Our third-year students Victoria Usyk and Hanna Dolhykh took part in the final of the All-Ukrainian competition. 150 students from all over Ukraine and even from abroad gathered in the city center of Metropolitan Sheptytsky. After writing the competition work, participants attended lectures on the intricacies of translating films, games, and learned more about planning successful public speaking. At the end of the event, our students received diplomas from the finalists of the translation competition in Spanish and French.
