Poetry is an integral literary component of every language.

There is no doubt that poetry is important in the spiritual enrichment of man.

It is designed to excite, give pleasure, nurture high feelings, unite the nation and unite humanity.

Poetry always helps not only to expand the worldview of man, but also is an effective method of studying the linguistic and communicative picture of the world. Thanks to poetry you can feel the soul, culture and language of the whole nation.

Drawing public attention to the poetic heritage gives impetus to educational activities.

This is a real modern art that is accessible to everyone.

That is why, on November 30, 2020, 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages and teachers of the Department of Germanic Philology took part in the event "EnglishPoetryDay" online via the platform SKYPE, where they demonstrated the uniqueness of poetry by reciting poems by famous English poets.
